Instant Shape Size Chart

Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

I was surprised by how sturdy these corsets are! They are heavy and thick and very well made. I was a little uncomfortable with how long the corset is because I am very short, but there's nothing I can do about that. I wish it was easier to find corsets with varying lengths for us short ladies.

This was way too big in the bust area and rubbed me the wrong way in the armpit area. Not very comfortable at all. I wear a 32D bra and no matter how much I tried to tighten and lace up the top part of this corset there was still too much room in the bust area and did not support me at all. I have decided that underbusts are best for me. I love all the underbust corsets I have gotten here.

I bought a five for one sale, which gave me the latitude to try new and different things. I have tried a few different sizes in this corset design. I am currently seasoning a version of this corset in burgundy satin (6 hours of wear), see in pictures. I am 5'4, with a 33-in natural waist and a 30-in corset. I love the satin finish, such a streamlined smooth finish. The colors are beautiful, and I have probably seen them all.

I am not sure how well this will fit once seasoned, but it is already molding nicely to my body and quite comfortable, I'm looking forward to being able to tighten the laces a little more to see if the bust fits. I believe these are cut for a bit more curvy figure than me, but I really wanted to try an overbust.

For any first time overbust corseters, loosen the strings all the way to get it in and on and off the first few times. Doing things behind your back is always a bit complicated, but the addition of a few lace holes increases the complexity of lacing between a underbust and overbust significantly. I am not too proud to report that I may have almost triggered a panic attack trying to get out of a properly sized corset of this design the first time. If you are new to wearing a corset, I may also suggest you only try on one new corset a day. No need to overwhelm.

In the picture you will see a loose thread, I just have to clip it. It is not a failure of stitching. I have inspected the whole corset thoroughly and there are no stitch failures, but strings do work themselves out here and there. snip snip.
